All the Big Games Here on HodagSports.com
HodagSports.com's Fall Play-by-Play Schedule begins Tuesday, August 17 as the RHS Boys Soccer Team meets up with former Wisconsin Valley Conference rival Wausau East at the RHS Soccer Fields. It kicks off a 24-plus game slate of broadcasts this fall on Rhinelander's leader in Play-by-Play coverage (Jeremy Mayo photo).
RHINELANDER – HodagSports.com is proud to roll out its 2010 RHS Fall Sports Schedule, which begins in just a few short days.
The slogan for the Fall season is “All the Big Games Here” and from the Bell Game, to the Hammer Game, to Homecoming and to key Great Northern Conference Matchups, HodagSports.com will be the only place you can listen to them all.
Our coverage begins the earliest it ever has on HodagSports.com as the RHS Boys Soccer Team entertains Wausau East on Tuesday, August 17 in a season-opening non-conference matchup that rekindles the old rivalry from the Wisconsin Valley.
From there, we will focus on Rhinelander's new Great Northern Conference foes, featuring both matchups with new rivals Northland Pines (8/26 and 9/16) and Lakeland (8/31 and 9/23). Rhinelander's trophy game, The Hammer Game, will also be aired live again as the Hodag try to take back the sledgehammer from D.C. Everest on a Saturday night under the lights in Weston on October 2.
HodagSports.com was the only Rhinelander area media outlet to carry every varsity Hodag Football game last year. And again if the Hodags are strapping on the helmets and shoulder pads, you can rest assured that HodagSports.com will have the coverage.
It begins on a Saturday, Rhinelander first Saturday game in six seasons as the Hodags entertain Milwaukee Riverside in a non-conference matchup on August 28.
Calendars will be circled for the Bell Game against Antigo on September 17 as the Hodags look to give Gene Shepard's Bell a rightful shade of green it hasn't seen since 2006. Three weeks later, Tomahawk will host Tomahawk for Homecoming for a second straight year, looking to repeat the success of last year's 35-18 triumph.
HodagSports.com will also feature six regular season RHS Volleyball games. The Hodags, who return most of their starters from last year figure to be in the Great Northern Conference title hunt this year. Tomahawk, who made the D2 State Tournament with a team featuring nary a senior, could stay in their way. The two teams meet at the RHS Gym on September 21 and HodagSports.com will be on the call.
Over the last year, the big games have been on HodagSports.com as we have brought you exclusive live coverage of The Bell Game, Homecoming, the Hammer Game, RHS Boys Basketball's Baraboo Tournament, RHS Baseball LaCrosse Roadtrip and most recently, the Rhinelander Rebels 2010 American Legion State Tournament.
If you weren't listening on HodagSprots.com, you could not have listened to any of these games from the Rhinelander perspective.
HodagSports.com Editor-in-Chief Jeremy Mayo is on the call again, entering his seventh season of calling Rhinelander High School Sports. Mayo's energy and passion bring an excitement to the games not normally seen in high school sports coverage.
So get ready for another exciting season of RHS Sports on HodagSports.com, and remember ALL the big games are right here.
